Tapati Rapa Nui, Chile

Health and Spanish Immersion Program is held in Santiago, Chile, by Harvard University.

This program, is the part of Harvard’s summer abroad programs. Harvard's regional office, David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies organizes this program.

It is an extensive language immersion program. Students get a complete immersion experience in the Spanish environment of Santiago, Chile.

It comes with the medicine and public health learning opportunities.

This program has a couple of unique distinctions I’m gonna talk about in coming paragraphs.

There is a set of specific activities that students have to perform during their stay. From dawn to dusk all the way through their entire week.

All these activities revolve around the main objectives of the program. I.e. Spanish, Health, Culture, Volunteer work, and study/summer abroad experiences.

While in Santiago, the students stay and live with the local Chilean families. This is to have a richer cultural experience and to take their language skills to the next level (told you).

To get more from their stay in a Spanish-speaking country and living with native speakers. The presentations become crucial.

Everyone has to prepare and deliver their presentations based on their educational interests.

Students also have the leverage to carry out their self-designed projects independently. While DRCLAS Regional Office also assists them in student’s private research work.

Besides every other thing, the course comes with lots of site visits also. Where the entrants go to see the places like medical facilities, and healthcare units.

And because these programs are about the Spanish language and Spanish culture. The attendees perceive a complete picture of Spanish culture during their stay.

And witness the beauty from their own eyes and senses.

i.e. Chilean culture with subject to the main topic of these Spanish immersion programs.

Where they can choose to study from the listed study schemes including Culture, History, and writing. Upon successful completion, Internships are also offered to every single participant.

This program is a chance for all culture loving students to have a closer look at Argentina’s rich culture. And meet with the people who are more willing to help the students. More likely to super-rich their language skills.

While you’ll be studying and earning degree credits. Yet you’ll have lots of chances to be a part of their cultural occasions.

Several local events, study trips, and site visits will give you a way to experience Hispanic (Argentines) customs & traditions by being them.

And because you’ll be having a deeper look at it, you can assess and highlight their serious community issues.

Their emerging social problems, possible solutions, and suggestions.

In short, you can create and carry your side projects that could help in finding an internship. And then a good job after that.

This is probably one of the ancient Spanish immersion programs in the list.

Florida State University is organizing this program from about over twenty-five consecutive years. And with the same title; Spanish Immersion Experience.

Just like the previous two programs, it is also held in a culturally rich country, Costa Rica.

Costa Rica, A place of volcanoes, rainforests, wildlife, beaches, food, lots of adventures. And good happy people who are ready to help you in learning Spanish.

So, you can possibly imagine that aside from the educational learning, one can collect lots and lots of real-life experiences. That is definitely going to aid in your future struggle in making their career.

While I also think the same way, this is just my opinion, could be good, could be bad. That the FSU choose the perfect place to organize their Spanish immersion programs.

Costa Rica is good to immerse in a Spanish environment in order to learn Spanish as a second language.

The classes are held in the world known, Conversa Linguistic Center. But the site tours and trips to other places are also part of the game.

The students are also given a chance to mingle with the locals, stay and live with them. Spend much of their time and have a total Spanish immersion experience.

This program is normally held in summer breaks, b/w June-July, goes up to 30 nights in Costa Rica. Because it is open to the public, any interested student can get enrolled. Hispanic literate and Spanish language are two major areas of study in the whole course.
